Stability of the Photoluminescent Response on Hydroxyapatite/Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotube Composites

The application of hydroxyapatite (HAp)/multi-walled carbon nanotube composites in the medical area as coatings prosthetics has been widely used because nanotubes reinforce mechanical properties hydroxyapatite. Despite that, their photoluminescent have not studied, nor effect different amounts multi-walled on this property or what happened with response time. This work demonstrated that HAp and HAp/multi-walled functionalized oxygen groups (OMWCNT) was stabilized over evaluated parameters were: three OMWCNT (15, 25, 35 mg) two thermal treatment temperatures (250 400 °C); all samples were measured twice, after preparation a year after. results indicated time is due to passivation surface defects, independently amount treatment. In end, these will extend utilization open door new applications.
